Wincham CP School PTA is a registered charity, which exists to advance the education of the pupils of the school by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities for education at the school. Regular meetings are held each month where committee members, teachers and parents, discuss funding requests and plan social and fundraising activities.

Each school class selects a PTA representative who will keep parents informed and involved in fundraising activities.

All parents who have a child at this school are automatically members of the PTA and are warmly encouraged to attend meetings.

In the year 2006/7, all money raised by the PTA has contributed to the cost of the new Information and Communication Technology (ICT) suite completed during 2007.

Events

The last event was the quiz night on Saturday 2nd February 2008. The trophy went to the JEDI KNIGHTS team, who were up against strong competition from ten other teams.
This followed a showing of the BEE MOVIE on January 27th. Over 150 people attended and had a great afternoon.
Prior to that we held the Christmas Family Night which raised around £1000, a fantastic effort all round!

In July we organised the annual Summer Fayre and despite the weather in the days leading up to the event, the sun shone and it was a great day, raising a substantial amount of money for the benefit of our children.
